The Spearhead Group is pleased to announce and welcome Ashely Reyes to the Spearhead Family as Finance Manager. Ashely joins the team with more than 15 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, as well as a background in the National Guard. She brings a high level of knowledge, skill and experience, as well as a personable approach to all that she does. This month, we are excited to highlight Ashely for our Spearhead Family feature to learn a little more about who she is and about joining The Spearhead Group.

Tell us about why you joined The Spearhead Group and your excitement to work with this team.
Ashely Reyes: What led me to The Spearhead Group is truly Heather and Robert. Having a past working relationship with the both of them, they left an ever-lasting impression of what true leadership looks like. They are eager to teach, but also trust in your abilities to succeed as an individual.

Tell us a little more about your background and what excites/inspires you to work on innovative projects? What about the finance side is innovative?
Ashely: I have been working in Finance for over 15 years and also spent six years with the National Guard. Innovation has always been who I am. Being a mom of 3, I am always looking for new and creative things for my family.

It’s great to be a part of an innovative company that strives to “think smarter” with new ideas. What excites me with Finance and being innovative, is to think outside of the box when putting reports of financials together or keeping things organized. The innovation of finance is to keep the company “in line” to ensure it continues in a successful route. You are always a part of that beginning process in helping build out the profit for innovative projects. I find drive and innovation in putting things in order.

The Spearhead Group has 5 core values ( 1. Focus on Sustainability and Diversity; 2. Innovative Thinking; 3. Do the Right Thing; 4. Acts with Equal Respect for Clients, Colleagues and Suppliers; 5. Go the Extra Mile. Can do attitude. Entrepreneurial Spirit). How do you practice these values?
Ashely: I believe in all the core values and make them my highest priority as a Spearhead member. However, if I must choose one, it would be Going the Extra Mile. Success is built by a village and if one person is struggling, then we are all struggling. I believe in helping each other and doing what is needed beyond your job title and responsibilities. I am my happiest when I see other people happy.
